- If you have not installed this program, (PL.EXE) you must do this now.
- Run the program PLINSTAL.EXE. If you have CGA, EGA, or Hercules
- MONOchrome text, first you will be shown a block of text. You will
- press f or b to change the foreground and background. When you are
- satisfied, press return. NOTE: If you have a video card that is not
- standard, the program PL.EXE will do all the the screen output via
- the DOS BIOS routines and this is very slow- fair warning.
-
- You will be asked if you want to see the opening screen each time
- run the program.
- Next, enter the cost of playing one set of numbers.
- Enter the range of the lottery numbers (15-60).
- Enter how many numbers you choose (4-7).
- Then you enter the day(s) that the lottery chooses it's numbers-
- When you have typed in all of the days that the lottery chooses it's
- numbers, finnish by pressing [Ret] until the program exits.
-
- If, after you install the program, you have problems running
- PL.EXE: If you get no video output (or very little), you
- probably have a non standard video card. Although inconvenient,
- you may try this as a last resort:
-
- Using a word processor (if WordStar, use non-document mode), edit
- the file PROLOTTO.CNF.
-
- Example:
-
- 47104d 23 Y 0.500000 44 6 SATURDAY WEDNESDAY NULL NULL NULL NULL NULL
-
- (This is close to what your file should look like, you will be )
- (editing the first number, in this case 47104d. You must change)
- (this number to 0d. The ending result should look like this: )
-
- 0d 23 Y 0.500000 44 6 SATURDAY WEDNESDAY NULL NULL NULL NULL NULL
-
- (Save the changes and retry PL.EXE)
-
-
- If you are updating from the original ProLotto program, you must
- convert your data files to the new compressed format of Version 1.3.
- To do this, put a copy of CONVERT.EXE on the disk that contains the
- data files. Run the program. Your files should be converted now.
